OUR SUCCESS STORY

"I was able to learn a lot at TIE"

What is the basic training year?

The aim of the basic apprenticeship year is to relieve the training companies of the time-consuming supervision in the first year of the apprenticeship. During this time, the apprentices learn the basics, which they can then use directly in the productive day-to-day work of the training company. As an option, the basic training at TIE International can also last two years (e.g. with a focus on cyber security).

FAQ

The training of computer scientists EFZ and mediamaticians EFZ requires a lot of internal technical resources at the beginning, which is why many companies are reluctant to train apprentices. This is why the basic apprenticeship year was created, in which apprentices complete their first year of training at TIE International. However, they are employed by your company for the entire four years.

At TIE, apprentices acquire a solid basic knowledge and complete a large proportion of the mandatory inter-company courses. This means that after the first year, a large proportion of the learning objectives set out in the training plan have already been met. Through productive customer projects, they are personally prepared for the further years of their apprenticeship and are always accompanied by qualified instructors. This means that after one year, apprentices are fit to work productively in their teams.

We support our students not only professionally, but also personally. We are explicitly not a school, but a creative and project-oriented environment for young ICT talents. We are committed to up-to-date and trend-oriented training in order to empower learners for their future.

TIE International has the Swiss quality label eduQua and therefore meets all modern standards for training and further education. We also offer suitable, optional instruments to give learners more support. These include, for example, a work placement abroad.

The training of IT and mediamatics apprentices is an ideal instrument - especially in times of ICT skills shortages - for finding suitable talent. Not only do they bring new ideas and inspiration to your company, but they almost always remain employed by the training company after their apprenticeship. This allows them to contribute internal know-how over a longer time horizon.

The training of apprentices is valued by politicians, society and employees. The training company can position itself as a socially relevant employer, which has a positive effect on employer branding.

This depends on the needs of the respective training partner. We offer specialist in-depth courses for apprentices, which can also be booked in the 2nd and 3rd year of the apprenticeship. We also offer support in career planning so that apprentices can continue to be promoted in the company after their apprenticeship. At the end of the apprenticeship, there is the final examination (IPA), where we advise many of our training partners.
