Today, Noe and Gian-Luca visited the SIX Financial office in Stamford. They got picked up by a “Lincoln Navigator”, a huge SUV, larger than all the cars in Switzerland. They had to drive around 1.5 hours to Stamford, where they were welcomed by Charles Warburton. Charles is the country had in the US for SIX Financial. He gave them a tour of the office and introduced them to the various people.

Noe, a SIX apprentice himself, was also allowed to partake in multiple meetings, such as a weekly sales meeting, to name but one. He noticed that the atmosphere in the US is way more familiar. After lunch, they were invited by Charles, they had the opportunity to present the swiss apprenticeship model to the local leadership board.

They all, but especially Charles, were fascinated by the apprenticeship model they have in Switzerland and would love to see something similar in the US. Later that afternoon, they had the chance to join the annual “SIXgivings”, an after-work event to come together with your colleagues - similar to how they celebrate Thanksgiving with their families. Everyone had cooked something for lunch and brought it to work. A variety of different dishes, from various cultures, but what they all had in common: they were incredibly delicious.

Noe and Gian-Luca were then brought back to New York by car. Jia-En and Lino were invited to “The Edge” by Lukas Sieber and enjoyed the stunning view over Manhattan. David, Colin, and Timofey went to different places in New York to film some scenes for a Social Media post of UBS.
