Day 20 - Election Night

29. August 2024 | Tags: Berlin 2024

The day started with a sleepy morning as I headed to the office around 8:30 AM. Just like every other morning, everyone was still half-awake, not quite ready to tackle the day. Lino, Jia-en, and Noè made our way to the NeueHouse office, while the others went to a different location. Once settled in, we got right into our projects, focusing diligently until lunchtime, when hunger drove us to Burger King. The food was decent, nothing too special, but it did the job.

In the afternoon, we continued working until about 4:30 PM, then wrapped up and headed home. Once back, some of us got busy in the kitchen, cooking fajitas for dinner. The meal was delicious, and we were all content and ready to relax. After dinner, though, the conversations took a lively turn. The election results were starting to roll in, and discussions became intense as the vote counts came through.

At some point, curiosity got the best of us, and we decided to head over to Times Square, thinking there might be more action there. To our disappointment, the scene was rather quiet, and there wasn’t much excitement around the vote counting. It didn’t feel like we were in the midst of a significant national event. By around 2 AM, we finally called it a night, exhausted from the long day and ready for some rest.
