Day 7 - Consulate Visit and City Views

The day started bright and early at 9:30 a.m. We hopped on the metro and headed towards the consulate, but not before stopping by a fantastic Italian restaurant. Pizza was on the menu for everyone, and it didn’t disappoint!
After lunch, we strolled over to the building housing the consulate. Once inside, we were treated to a presentation explaining the role of a consulate worker—who they are and what they do. It was fascinating to get a glimpse into the world of diplomatic work. They even served us coffee afterward and handed out small gifts to each of us.
Next, we made our way to the Amazon building, where we had the chance to exchange ideas with the apprentices there. It was incredibly interesting to hear about their experiences and career plans. Surprisingly, most of them plan to return to school after their apprenticeship instead of jumping straight into work! We also got to visit the 12th floor and step out onto the balcony for a breathtaking view of the city.
Later that evening, we squeezed in a bit of shopping before heading to Chipotle for dinner. With full bellies and tired feet, we finally made our way back home, ready to crash into bed.
